Dr. Biju A.V. is an Associate Professor at the Department of Commerce, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, specializing in sustainable finance, ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, carbon credits, behavioral finance, corporate governance, and asset pricing. He holds visiting faculty roles at IIT Patna, TAPMI Manipal, and University of Wollongong Dubai, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Knowledge Economy.
Dr. Biju A.V. is Associate Professor at the University of Kerala, specializing in sustainable finance, ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, carbon credits, behavioral finance, corporate governance, and asset pricing models. He has supervised six PhD completions and currently mentors six doctoral candidates and two post-doctoral researchers across the Faculty of Commerce and Faculty of Management. He serves as visiting faculty at the University of Wollongong, UAE, and teaches in executive MBA program at IIT Patna and the MBA International Business program at TAPMI Manipal. Dr. Biju's innovative contributions include co-inventing technology for automated ESG document processing, documented through Indian Patent Application demonstrating the practical application of his research in enhancing ESG scoring precision within the Indian context. He actively reviews for Elsevier, Springer, Wiley journals and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Knowledge Economy and has published in leading journals including the Journal of Behavioural and Experimental Finance, Business Strategy and the Environment, CSR and Environmental Management, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, EPW and Digital Finance.
Dr. Biju A.V. has built an academic career spanning over a decade across multiple government colleges before joining the University of Kerala, where he progressed from Assistant Professor (2020) to Associate Professor (2023). He has supervised seven completed PhDs and two post-doctoral fellows, currently guides six more PhD scholars and two post-docs, and has secured over Rs. 23 lakhs in research funding as Principal Investigator, including a major ICSSR project on investor sentiment and ESG ratings. His work has been published in journals such as Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, CSR and Environmental Management, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, EPW, and Digital Finance, and recognized with Best Paper Awards at IIM Nagpur and NISM Mumbai.
