The S4 Finance and Accounting students of the Department of Commerce, University of Kerala, Karyavattom Campus, organized an exhibition as part of the Heights 2023 – KU Researchers Fest. The exhibition, titled “Finsights – Navigating Analytics in a Biased World” focused on the theme of business analytics and behavioral finance. The objective was to showcase the importance of data analytics in decision-making processes and explore the influence of behavioural biases in financial contexts. With an unwavering focus on understanding human behavior and leveraging financial analytics, the exhibition aimed to shed light on the crucial interplay between behavioral biases and business analytics in today’s dynamic financial landscape. The exhibition aimed to provide valuable insights to students, scholars, academicians, and others. The event witnessed a significant turnout, with over 300 students and around 200 research scholars from various institutions attending and engaging with the exhibits.

It highlighted the undeniable impact of cognitive biases such as overconfidence, loss aversion, and herding behavior on investment choices and market outcomes. By delving into these biases, the exhibition aimed to raise awareness among attendees about the importance of recognizing and mitigating these biases to make sound financial decisions. This knowledge is essential for investors, financial professionals, and individuals alike, as it empowers them to navigate the complexities of the financial world with greater wisdom and prudence.
