The 45th All India Accounting Conference and International Seminar on Accounting Education and Research, hosted by Department of Commerce, University of Kerala, in association with the Indian Accounting Association, Kerala Branch, commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony at Kariavattom campus of University of Kerala on December 9, 2023. The Inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Biju Jacob IA&AS, Principal Accountant General, Kerala. In his inaugural address, he highlighted accounting as a profoundly positive profession, where the prosperity of individuals and nations are guided to action, bringing joy to accountants as they contribute to wealth and success. 

Prof. N. Thenmozhi, Professor and Head, IIT Madras, delivered the Key note address and Prof. Justin Paul, Professor, University of Puerto Rico, USA gave the special address.

Indian Accounting Association All India President Prof. Jasraj Bohra presided over the function .The occasion was adorned with the distinguished presence of Prof Sanjay Bayani, General Secretary, IAA, Prof. Anil Kumar, Registrar, University of Kerala, Prof. Sasikumar, IAA, Kerala branch President and Conference Secretary Prof. Gabriel Simon Thattil and Organizing Secretary Prof. Biju T. In her absence, the Conference Secretary read out the Message from Dr Bindu, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Government of Kerala, who was the Chief Patron for the event and conveyed the greetings from the University Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohanan Kunnummal. 

As part of the function a unique Conference Souvenir entitled ‘Memorabilia’, which brilliantly show- cases the Conference Paper Abstracts was released and the Young Researchers Award was given away. Over one thousand delegates from India and abroad, which included Vice Chancellors, Deans and Senior Professors, participated in the event.
