Dr Mushthaq Ahemmed KAssistant Professor

Dr K. Mushthaq Ahammed is a good teacher and scholar in the commerce discipline and has more than 7 years of experience in teaching and 2 years as an accountant. He did his Ph.D. Degrees in Commerce with JRF from Aligarh Muslim University in 2011 after obtaining the degrees M.Com and M.Ed. from there itself in 2003 and 2005 respectively. He is specialised in Financial Management and Tourism Marketing. Before being joined as Course Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Commerce in the School of Distance Education, University of Kerala in January 2013, he worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce of St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri- Calicut, Government Brennen College, Thalassery, and N.A.M College, Kallikandy- Kannur. He also worked as Teacher Educator in EMEA Training College, Kondotty- Malappuram for 4½ years.

Biography

Dr. K. Mushthaq Ahammed contributed immensely in the form of research articles in a number of peer-reviewed international and national journals and presented papers at seminars and conferences conducted at national and international levels. Participated in various seminars, workshops and conferences as resource person, subject expert and delegate and contributed greatly to the university curriculum restructuring process at PG and UG level in Commerce discipline. 

He has been actively engaging in taking training and demonstration classes for teacher trainees in both behaviourist and constructivist approaches and also in models of teaching, especially the Concept Attainment Model, Advance Organiser Model and Jurisprudential Inquiry Model. Skilled in Statistical Packages for Research Analysis, such as SPSS and R Software. He is the associate editor of DEK Researcher, the peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal of the School of Distance Education, University of Kerala. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Commerce, University of Kerala.
