Suresh Kumar took his Masters degree in commerce from the University of Kerala with first class in 1993. He was awarded M Phil degree in commerce by the University of Kerala in 1995 and qualified NET-JRF of the UGC in 1996
He was awarded Ph.D degree in commerce by the University of Kerala in 2010. He was awarded Masters degree in Management by M.G University Kottayam in 2015. He started his career as a lecturer in commerce with SAS SNDP Yogam college, Konni in 1998 and continued working there till 2007. Then, he moved to Government college service as an assistant professor and worked with Government college kalpetta and Government college, Nedumangad during 2007- 2012. He joined university of Kerala as assistant Professor of Commerce on 3rd January 2013. He is an approved Research Guide in Commerce of the University of Kerala guiding Ph.D scholars, M.Phil,and M.Com students in their research activities. He is the life member of Indian Accounting Association ,Indian Commerce Association and Academy of Social Science. Currently he is the Director of Centre for Adult Continuing Education & Extension.He is also nominated as dean of faculty of Commerce of Mahatma Gandhi University in October 2020 for a period of two years.
