The Department of Commerce, University of Kerala, in collaboration with the Board of Studies (Academic) of ICAI and Loyola College of Social Sciences, organized a two-day national seminar on Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Finance on 18–19 September 2025 at Loyola College. The event brought together eminent speakers including Prof. Jagathy Raj V. P. (Vice Chancellor, Sree Narayana Guru Open University), Prof. Thenmozhi M. (Head, Department of Finance, IIT Madras), CMA Prof. Kinnary Thakker (Mumbai University), CMA B. V. Subramaniam, CA Padmanabhan, Prof. Leena James (Christ University, Bangalore), CA Ranjit Karthikeyan, and Dr. Smiju I. S. (Director, CUSAT). Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Gabriel Simon Thattil, the seminar offered deep insights into the transformative role of AI in accounting and finance, marking a significant academic milestone for the Department.
