The Indian Accounting Association (IAA), Kerala Branch organized a felicitation ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram to honour Prof. (Dr.) Gabriel Simon Thattil on his appointment as the National President of the IAA. The event featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. (Dr.) K. Sasikumar, Former President of the IAA, and S. N. Raghuchandran Nair, President of the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce, who inaugurated the ceremony and lauded Prof. Thattil’s outstanding contributions to academia and accounting. Prof. Biju T, Secretary of the IAA Kerala Branch, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the collective pride of the Kerala branch in his achievement. A memento was presented to Prof. Thattil by Prof. Satyajit Dhar, Treasurer of the Indian Accounting Association, as a token of honour and respect. Several dignitaries, including Prof. Nimidev R, Dr. Ebby Joseph Idicula, and CMA Lekshmi V, also commended his exemplary leadership and decades of service, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Baiju Ramachandran FCS, marking a proud and memorable occasion for the association.
